Why our fees are changing from 1 August 2026

Our fees are going up from 1 August 2026 and we wanted to explain why.

While all costs are increasing year on year, the main driver is wages. Award wages for allied health staff increased on 1 July, and from 1 October a separate government review will lift them again, this time specifically addressing pay rates in allied health professions that have historically been undervalued. These aren't decisions we've made ourselves, rather they're set by the Fair Work Commission, and we are required to pay them.

For an initial consultation, the fee is moving from $210 to $245, or if you’re seeing one of our senior dietitians, it is moving from $245 to $275-295. You'll see the updated pricing in online bookings from mid July.

We’re proud that we attract and retain experienced and highly skilled dietitians, and we invest in training, supervision and team support. The fee increase reflects the expertise we have in clinic. We aren’t interested in reducing the length of our appointments, or cutting corners in the standard of care we offer.

If the new fee is going to make ongoing care difficult, please speak with us. We are happy to discuss payment plans.

If you have any questions, please email hello@balancenutrition.com.au and we will arrange a call back from a member of our team, or speak to your dietitian at your next appointment.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support.
