These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern the access to and use of services provided by Balance Nutrition (“we”, “our”, “us”). By booking or attending an appointment with us, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services Provided
Balance Nutrition provides dietetic and nutrition services, including:
Individual consultations (in-person and telehealth),
Group education and programs, and
Ongoing care and support as agreed with your practitioner.
All services are delivered by Accredited Practising Dietitians in accordance with professional standards and the Dietitian’s Australia Code of Conduct.
2. Bookings and Payments
Appointments can be booked online, by phone, or in person.
Payment of a deposit is required at the time of booking for some services.
Payment is required at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.
We accept payment via debit/credit card using Stripe or Square, or by direct bank deposit
If your consultation is eligible for a Medicare, NDIS, Department of Veterans’ Affairs, or private health rebate, you remain responsible for any out-of-pocket costs.
3. Cancellations and No-Shows
At least 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel an appointment.
Cancellations with less notice, or failure to attend, may incur a cancellation fee of 100%
Repeated missed appointments will result in refusal of future bookings.
4. Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate and complete information relevant to your health and care.
The effectiveness of our services relies on your active participation and honesty.
You are responsible for following professional advice, including any referrals to other health professionals when required.
5. Disclaimer
Our services are intended to provide professional dietetic care but do not replace medical treatment or specialist advice.
We do not guarantee specific outcomes from services provided.
You should always consult your GP or treating medical practitioner regarding medical conditions or concerns.
6. Privacy and Confidentiality
Your personal and health information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
All client records remain confidential and will only be shared with your consent, except where disclosure is required by law.
7. Telehealth Services
Telehealth consultations are provided through secure platforms. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free connections.
You are responsible for ensuring you have access to the necessary technology (e.g. device, internet connection).
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Balance Nutrition is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from your use of our services. Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Queensland.
